Nyack Hospital in Nyack, NY, which will be extended by 2, 400 square feet by 2018

NYACK, NY-Montefiore Medical Company has just broke ground on a new project to enhance the emergency sector of Nyack Hospital on Route 9W in Nyack.  The new expansion of the Hospital Center will include a new medical village to house patients who are hospitalized overnight, as well as a new, state of the art, emergency room to welcome and care for patients in critical condition.  The 121-year old hospital is North Rockland’s main medical emergency institution, and this new project is the first expansion in many years.  Stephen Sayfer, the President of the Montefiore Medical Company, said the hospital is “outdated”, and that the new sector will be the “emergency room of the future.”  The hospital extension will be completed in 2018.
